New Zealand selection panel announced
Webstock are extremely pleased to announce the selection panel for the New Zealand FullCodePress team. It’ll be their job to shortlist three candidates for each position, one of whom will be chosen at random for the team.
The panel, and their areas of responsibility, are:
Natasha Hall - selection panel convenor, project management and user experience
Natasha is the usability person at Trade Me. She is passionate about standards; believing that those who embrace them not only save themselves time, money and energy, but create all-round better sites and tend to be people who are sexier and smarter and more fun to be around.
She loves film, Charles Mingus, soup, her boston terrier Charlie Bird and bloody marys.
Che Tamahori - graphic design
Che is a creative director at Shift, one of New Zealand’s leading web consultancies.
Che joined Shift’s Wellington studio in 1995 after graduating from the Wanganui Design School. Today he leads the fast-growing Auckland office, offering web strategy, design and development to some of New Zealand’s leading online brands.
Rebecca Cox - HTML/CSS
Rebecca’s been producing HTML and CSS for the web since 1999, and has worked with some of the loveliest web people round Wellington, at CWA, Signify, and Intergen. She’s obsessed with web accessibility in all its forms, and currently more than a little upset and distracted by climatechange.
Rowan Simpson - programmer
Until very recently, Rowan was lead developer at Trade Me, which was acquired in 2006 for NZ$700 million, by Fairfax, a publicly listed Australian media company. Rowan’s now wondering how to spend those Australian dollars!
Rachel McAlpine - content editor/wordsmith
Since 1995 Rachel has thought, written and taught online content. She is the author of Web Word Wizardry and Crash Course in Corporate Communications, and (any day now) Great Business Writing on the Web. Her current project is online training for web content writers. Her Web sites are: www.contented.co.nz and www.qwc.co.nz.
