The CodeBlacks have debated long and hard whether the “*” used to signal that a form field is required should go the left or right of the label text. Let us know your opinion.
In New Zealand we drive on the left, so I’m sticking with that… Suggest others do the same or risk a nasty usability crash.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that English readers scan from bottom left up to find their start field of text. If you have differently abled clients, making sure they can see things critically first might help.

Infact, i prefer the labels on this comment to be on the left rather than the right.. WE ARE NOT IN THE USA!!!
After the label text in the reading order, which means to the right for English. Although I much prefer “(required)” over “*”.
If in doubt, literally read it out.
