FullCodePress 09

Webstock and WIPA announce the launch of FullCodePress 09! The CodeBlacks from New Zealand will once again cross the Tasman to take on the best of Australia’s web industry in a competition to build a website for a non-profit organisation in 24 hours.

FullCodePress 09 will take place at the WebForward conference at CeBIT, on 12 and 13 May 2009. Gold sponsor for FullCodePress will be IBM Rational, with additional support from Adobe and SitePoint.

Pressure will be intense on the competing teams this year as the competition will take place within the conference hall at CeBIT, allowing spectators to watch the teams in action at close range. The tagline for FullCodePress 09 is “Not for the faint hearted” and there’ll be little room for teams to hide from the pressure and expectations of producing a fully functional website within 24 hours.

As always, though, the real goal of the competition is to deliver great websites to two deserving organisations. The New Zealand team will build a website for a New Zealand organisation and the Australian team for an Australian one. Teams will not learn the names of the organisations until the start of the competition.

Applications are now open for positions on the New Zealand and Australian teams, and for organisations wishing to be considered to have websites built for them.
