FullCodePress 2010 – in Wellington, in June!

31 March 2010 | admin | 5 Comments

We’re delighted and excited to launch FullCodePress 2010. In changes from FullCodePress 2007 and 2009, we’re bringing the competition to Wellington and including a third team – Team USA.

These changes will add a whole new dynamic to FullCodePress. Defending two-time champions, the Code Blacks are sure to feel the pressure of competing on home turf and will be desperate to recapture their away form.

Team Australia will be competing away from home for the first time, but those in the know are tipping that this experience will bond them closer as a team. And we all know that an Australian team smarting from two successive losses is a dangerous team indeed!

Team USA is full of battle-hardened veterans, with team members such as Jason Santa Maria sure to bring their experience from competitions such as Photoshop Layer Tennis.

Applications for selection for the Code Blacks and Team Australia are now open. We know there’ll be a lot of interest in who gets chosen for the teams and we’re looking forward to some pre-competition trash-talking between the teams once all three teams are known.

The overall format of FullCodePress remains the same. Teams get 24 hours to develop a full and functioning website for a non-profit client. Teams don’t know who the client is until the very start of the competition. Our judging panel then judges the websites against a number of criteria. There’s one overall winner, but, really, the winners are the non-profits who get wonderful websites they wouldn’t have had the chance to obtain otherwise.

FullCodePress – the geek Olympics. Where sleep is optional and stress is a given!

Great… seems fitting that Australia devastate New Zealand on home soil to avenge last year!
