So we’re with Dan Mall from Team “Ooosa”, USA, and he’s the HTML marker-upper, CSS whizbang person. Could you tell us about blink tags please?
Sure, they are the latest rage, and any team that’s not using them is stuck in the past.
So what are you guys doing in terms of your mark-up? Have you dived into the HTML5ness? The CSS3 wave?
We started with HTML5 first, but then realised it was probably more trouble than it was worth for our 24 hours, and mostly because John and I and most of the people on our team don’t have that much experience with it yet. So we’ll go around with what we feel pretty solid and comfortable with. But there are some CSS3 features that we’re using.
Tell us about them?
Nothing as exciting as I’m making it. Just a little subtle animation here and there. Some cool things we’re using multiple backgrounds for. Things that are more useful than whizbangy, I guess.
So how are things going in the Presidential election room?
Things are going pretty well. I think tiredness is starting to set in, which is always troublesome, but we’ve got cheetos and cupcakes and things to last us, so hopefully we’ll be alright.
That’s good. Can you tell us a little bit about the parade that we saw in there?
Oh yeah. We decided that after the lunch breaks and dinner breaks we’d have to make up our own breaks, so that was the first of many breaks to help us, and it really energised us.
Do you have anything to look forward to?
As far as breaks go? I’m sure we do. We have nothing scheduled, but I’m sure something will come up.
Thanks.
