The Codaroos
After painful debate and discussion, the Australian selection panel has finally announced the Australian team:
Kylie Liggins – Project manager
As Senior Digital Producer at Igloo, Kylie Liggins brings to the team extensive producer and digital media experience across education, publishing, business development, CGI and rich media on a number of different platforms including online, television, radio, print, and mobile/wireless handsets. With a project portfolio spanning Australia, Europe and the United States, Kylie has worked on highly strategic, creative, interactive and commercial development projects with the BBC, Guardian Unlimited, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Film Victoria, Australian Film Commission, SAFC, PFTC, The Walkley Foundation, Walker Books, Lion Interactive, Entertainment Rights and iTV.
Lachlan Donald – Programmer
I’m a web geek who is passionate about building scalable web applications, open-source software, foosball and finding the perfect coffee. I’ve been writing code for about as long as web browsers have been around and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’m presently CTO at 99designs.com, a melbourne-based startup.

Robyn Diamond – Content editor/wordsmith
Robyn started writing in primary school and hasn’t stopped since. Currently web coordinator for the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), Robyn has also written and edited web content and publications in several other government agencies as well as for community groups and businesses. She survived working as a motorcycle courier for a couple of years in the UK with the help of a heated undersuit. She’s been riding bikes (and horses) for a bloody long time and still reckons that not much else comes close to that feeling of freedom. Having just built a house with her huband and kids, Robyn was looking for a new challenge – and along came FullCodePress 2010!
Adam Schilling – HTML/CSS marker-upper
Father of two (adorable) little kids, Adam clearly has a Full Code Press advantage – in that he barely sleeps. Based in Melbourne, he works as User Experience Designer for digital agency, August. He’s responsible for user testing, end-to-end design, and front-end development; lately he’s been preoccupied with iPhone and iPad app design (you could say he enjoys a variety of roles). Adam is an advocate for web standards and progressive enhancement (HTML5 and CSS3), he co-organises the Melbourne Web Standards Group, and has a competitive streak – particularly on the foosball table.

Bjarni Wark – Graphic designer
Bjarni Wark lives on a little hill on the outskirts of a dinky coastal town called Moruya where he freelances and runs Bj2design.
“I’m really stoked to be a part of the FCP 2010 team and look forward to taking on NZ and USA head on in the 24 hour web build festival”, said Bjarni.
Bjarni’s work is complimented by a diverse design background including a 1st class honours degree in fine arts, specialising in handset typography, an advanced diploma in graphic design and an energetic interest in making websites behave with CSS.

James Mansfield – User experience advocate
As clichéd as it sounds, I’m passionate about making peoples lives easier through technology. My focus and strengths are in designing web-based user interfaces that are above all usable but also engaging, accessible and easily built to adhere to web standards. I have well over a decades worth of experience and have worked for clients including Pepsi, Virgin Atlantic, BBC Technology, Guinness, Yellow Pages, and Macquarie Bank. I love my 2 boys, wife, bike, laptop and watching the AFL (not necessarily in priority order).

Congratulations and thanks!
Congratulations to the team members! We’ll be interviewing them next week.
A huge thanks to everyone who applied for the Australian team. It has not been an easy process.
And finally, thank you to the Aussie selectors – Steve Baty, Lea de Groot and Wendy White.
