We’ve just returned from a yummo buffet lunch and the teams are straight back into business. Rumours that were buzzing around before lunch are now confirmed true. In a startling turn of events the NZ team are indeed guilty of kicking the camera/paparazzi crew out of their room! Sorry kids, but we’re just doing our jobs. Why are we soooo unpopular? That was a rhetorical question of course. In all seriousness, the team had a need for a private discussion and didn’t want their top-secret plans revealed on YouTube just yet. Fair enough.
Speaking of fair play, I must report that Jeff from the NZ team was witnessed propositioning one of our female judges. The conversation wasn’t recorded but off the record, it went a little like this:
Jeff: So, what do you do?
Gian: I’m a judge
Jeff: Oh…you are so pretty.
What else can I say but, ahah! Busted!

Jeff, looking so innocent.
Cheers for now,
Renae (playing favourites for a while)

Here are the fruits: the Australian team are indeed enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is light. Music and chatter fills the space. The chocolates are out and Dave has now worked out his all-important twitter relationship with fullcodepress, making time to spy on the other team and get the latest updates online. Not to say that the Aussies are frivolous in their joviality because there is a lot progress being made. New pages are being added as I type, information architecture is slowly refined, there’s a hot new logo and colour pallette for the Ripple Effect, the content is in a state of clarification and overall it’s coming along nicely.
I am also impressed by the clients. The girls from Ripple Effect are visiting each team member, checking on progress and making sure there is a consensus in these all-important early concept stages. Emily, however, is not impressed with me for posting that ‘horrible’ picture of her on the nod. I did explain that ‘of course no one really thinks you are asleep, it’s just a bad picture’. I’m sure that went a long way towards healing the rift but it must be pointed out that the press are not here to make friends. I’m here to get the story, or shall I say, fabricate the story. Did I say I was evil? Oh yes, you have been forewarned. Just to make it up to her, here’s a charming picture of attentiveness from Emily, doing a fabulous job:

Good times!
